Bonding Requirements

1.       Maintenance Bond required

Wage Rates

1.       Schedule of Wages from C & E Excavating from all Sub-contractors (on letterhead)

2.       Certified Payroll every 2 weeks

Submittals

1.       7 hard copies – review and return 2 copies. (If required)

Notice To Proceed

1.   To be issued April 4, 2011

Prosecution & Progress

1.       Final Completion – July 1, 2011

2.       Maintain access to all adjacent properties during construction

3.       Provide Schedule prior to starting of construction – If required

Change of Contract Time

1.       Contract time may only be changed by an approved Change Order.

Liquidated Damages

1.       $2,500 / calendar day past the final completion date

Retainage and Final Payment

1.       Payment Application every 30 days

2.       5% Retainage

3.       Final Payment and Release of Retainage requires submittal of waiver of lien, completion affidavit, as-builts showing utilities capped and a conformed set of submittals (If required).

Testing

1.       Compaction Testing

Maintenance of Traffic

1.       Traffic Control Plan (If required)

Mobilization and Demobilization

1.       Mobilization – 75%

2.       Demobilization – 25% upon completion

Erosion Control

1.       Weekly self inspections / inspections after rain events.

HMA Patching

1.       Contractor is responsible for testing.

2.       Mix Design Submittal

Dewatering

1.   If dewatering is required it will be considered incidental.

2.   Contractor to provide a dewatering plan to the City for review.

Borrow Material for Backfill

1.       Borrow material shall be a clean sand or sand and gravel free of roots.

Topsoil & Seeding

1.       Contractor responsible for hydro-seeding.

2.       Topsoil – testing requirements / pre-approval before placement

Rob and Toy,

Thad Bessinger emailed me to see if C&E could start on Trade Dr?  So I wanted to check with you guys since I was not sure on the status.

Gentlemen:

Mike has looked into the contract being submitted and C & E has not submitted their signed contracts for Board approval.  Therefore we cannot hold a pre-con meeting nor provide a notice to proceed on the project. One would only think that Thad should know better then to ask for a pre-con.
We will move forward when the Board has the contract in hand and approved.
